KingPong

«KingPong» is a web app which uses real maps to show ping-pong tables and active players. Users can challenge each other locally, follow matches and make new contacts. By facilitating direct interaction and communal play, the app promotes social encounters and the use of public ping-pong tables in the city of Zurich.

«‹KingPong› enables numerous players to get to know each other, make connections and forge friendships while they travel around Switzerland and improve their physical fitness, ideally supported by gamified motivation. The technical challenges of creating a suitable database are immense, and were successfully tackled. The ‹KingPong› app is fully functional with a catchy design – precise in form and clear in its message.» – Excerpt supporting statement of the Subject Area Game Design
