Dissecting Love

A Queer Autopsy of a Relationship

«Dissecting Love» is an emotional exploration game that invites players to use text and object manipulation to discover the reasons for the ending of a queer relationship. Players unravel the story of the relationship's demise by dissecting and transforming multiple objects while exploring themes of personal growth and introspection.

Interview Noe Mael Arnold.

«In this project, the complex emotional and psychological scenario of a failed relationship is successfully complemented by an artistic-creative metaphor of the highest quality. The attempts of estranged ex-partners to explain themselves are equated with a forensic autopsy, resulting in drastic but also melancholically poetic insights and images. [...] Despite – or even because of – the surreal brutality on display, this game is visionary from both an artistic and design point of view, as well as outstanding and courageous.» – Excerpt from the supporting statement of the Subject Area Game Design
