It is part of our nature to capture moments and indulge in reminiscences. Research in medicine and the defence industry is well underway, and it is hoped that it will soon be possible to preserve memories. In the year 2053 we will have unlimited access to our memories, opening up one of the last interfaces of neurobiology. Memories can be recorded, played back and shared with «Calico». What was a photograph then, is now biological code. After modifying our outer appearance through plastic surgery, we are now able to optimise our personality by replicating our memories. Who can I be when my defining memories become editable?
